​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The DMACC Water Environmental Technology Program offers comprehensive training for water and wastewater management. Whether you want to start a career in water, continue learning, gain certifications, or obtain continuing education for septic system installation and inspections, DMACC has something for you.

WET Credit Program

CREDIT PROGRAM

A career in water environmental technology prepares you to operate and maintain equipment, calculate chemical dosages, adjust chemicals and pH, take test samples, evaluate results and more. Earn a 2-year Water Environmental Tech AAS degree, a 1-year diploma or a certificate.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

DMACC has created a Water Environmental Technology program with four career tracks - all offered at DMACC's Ankeny Campus. Both Credit and Continuing Ed Non-Credit classes required for certification and recertification are offered.

ONSITE WASTEWATER TRAINING

The Onsite Wastewater Training Center of Iowa was established to educate and train people involved in the construction, operation and management of onsite wastewater treatment systems. Onsite training is designed for county sanitarians, septic system installers, pumpers and designers, but is open to everyone.
