Iowa Welding Institute at DMACC
Manufacturing today is an efficient, high-tech operation, and welders are the backbone of the industry. Welders must learn a variety of skills and processes in several methods of joining metals. Because of the ongoing demand for skilled welders, employers seek qualified, educated people who can produce products meeting exacting quality specifications.
Employers will ask, “Is this welder qualified?” Supervisors and inspectors will ask, “Does this weld meet product specifications?” If you earn a Welding Certificate at the Iowa Welding Institute at Des Moines Area Community College, the answer will be, “YES.”
