The Boone Banner student newspaper is always looking for help! Students have opportunities to write news stories and opinion columns, take photos of events, post on social media, and even record podcasts. No experience necessary!

Get involved building DMACC's newest competitive sport - Esports. Join to play games like Call of Duty, Fortnite, League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, and more for camaraderie or for competition.

Enjoy a dedicated gaming space, opportunities to practice or scrimmage, attend watch parties, and possibly compete in the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) as a student athlete.

DMACC's In My Boots 5K was created by Sean Taylor in 2014, and is now organized by the In My Boots Student Group. The In My Boots Student Group aims to raise community awareness of the struggles that many American service men and women encounter after returning from combat. We invite you to join the 5K in support of Iowa's currently deployed men and women.

The LGBTQ+ Affinity Group is open to all DMACC employees and students. The group meets the 4th Friday of each month at noon on Zoom.

Can you play an instrument? Want to have fun? Join the DMACC Pep Band. The band plays for most home DMACC basketball games. All students, faculty/staff or friends of DMACC can be in the band. We provide a drum set, but everyone else brings their own instruments.

Phi Theta Kappa is an international scholastic society whose mission is to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. DMACC Phi Theta Kappa members also enjoy the benefits of eligibility to numerous scholarships, attendance to conferences, recognition at graduation, and more!

The Student Activities Council will be made up of a mix of club representatives, at-large members, and on-campus housing representatives if applicable. Larger clubs will be responsible for one representative to serve on the Student Activities Council.

The theatre department, under the direction of Kay Mueller, produces one play fall semester and one play spring semester. Plays produced include farces, comedies, mysteries, and an occasional musical.
